Betty Jo, also known as Jo Jo, is the owner, head designer, and event planner behind Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations. A devoted wife, mother of two grown children, and proud grandmother of four, Jo Jo finds joy in traveling, exploring new cultures, connecting with people from all walks of life—and, of course, loving all shades of pink.
Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations was born in 2020 while Jo Jo was coaching cheer at a local school. What began as creating balloon décor for cheer clinics and end-of-season banquets quickly grew into something much bigger. Her love for design, paired with the joy those small celebrations brought to others, sparked a passion that could no longer stay a hobby.
With the encouragement and support of her family and friends, Jo Jo turned that passion into a business and began sharing her talents with the world. Today, she is driven by one purpose: creating moments of joy that people will remember forever. Known for her keen eye for detail and unwavering commitment to excellence, Jo Jo pours her heart into every event, working tirelessly to transform each client’s vision into a flawless and unforgettable celebration.
Erin
Office Assistant
Erin has lived in Louisville her entire life and has deep roots in the community she proudly calls home. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Mark, and together they are raising their amazing son, Hudson, who is currently a sophomore at Louisville High School. The family continues to make memories in Erin’s childhood home, a place filled with history, love, and meaningful moments.
While Erin’s true passion has always been dance, she also brings that same dedication, creativity, and attention to detail to her role at Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations. Working primarily behind the scenes, Erin plays an essential part in organizing, planning, and making sure every detail is in place to help bring each event to life. From preparation to execution, she helps ensure that every celebration is seamless and thoughtfully designed.
Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time outdoors, getting lost in a good book, traveling to new places, and indulging in a little shopping. Her love for creativity, organization, and meaningful experiences shines through in everything she does—both personally and professionally.
Kayla

Kayla is a proud mother of three boys and has been happily married to her husband, Jacob, since 2021. Known for her energetic spirit and quick-learning style, she brings enthusiasm, heart, and positivity into everything she does. She loves traveling, discovering new places, and embracing life’s adventures.
Kayla joined the Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations team in 2022 and has loved every minute since. She plays a hands-on role in our designs—handling balloon inflation, assisting with creative builds, and leading event setups to bring each vision to life. What inspires her most is being part of moments that bring joy to others and seeing spaces transform. Her passion, dedication, and uplifting energy make her an invaluable part of our team
Carrie

Carrie brings more than 20 years of experience as a corporate event planner to the Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations team. With a deep love for celebrations and a passion for creating moments that make people smile, her transition into the world of event décor felt like a natural fit. In 2023, Carrie joined Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations, where she now blends her extensive planning background with creativity, organization, and heart to help bring each client’s vision to life.
Carrie is known for her calm, thoughtful approach and attention to detail, ensuring every event runs smoothly from start to finish. Whether she’s helping with design, setup, or coordination, she takes pride in creating experiences that feel effortless for clients and unforgettable for their guests.
Outside of work, Carrie loves spending quality time with her husband, Ed, and their three children. When she’s not planning or styling events, you can often find her crafting, gardening, or dreaming up her next trip—preferably somewhere warm. Her creativity, warmth, and dedication make her an invaluable part of the Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations team.
Peyton

Peyton Berkebile is a dedicated marketing and entrepreneurship student at Kent State University with a strong passion for creativity, organization, and thoughtful brand presentation. From the very beginning, Peyton has brought both heart and precision to everything she does, making her an invaluable part of the Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations team. As our longest-tenured employee, she has played a key role in the company’s growth, consistency, and day-to-day operations, helping shape the polished, professional experience our clients know and love.
With a natural eye for detail and design, Peyton specializes in organizing, styling, and perfecting balloon garlands and event installs. She carefully ensures each piece is visually cohesive, structurally sound, and beautifully tailored to match every client’s vision. Whether it’s prepping balloons, color matching, or fine-tuning the smallest details, Peyton takes pride in making sure every installation looks flawless from every angle.
Peyton truly loves bringing celebrations to life and takes pride in delivering polished, high-impact designs that create memorable moments for our clients. Her dedication, work ethic, and passion for the brand continue to help Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations shine — and we are so grateful to have her as part of our team.
Ashley
Balloon Artist
Ashley is engaged to her fiancé, Max, and is a proud mom to two amazing kids—Ganyon (11) and Brooke (23)—along with her beloved fur baby, King, their sweet English Bulldog. Family is everything to her, and much of her time is spent supporting the people she loves most. Whether she’s cheering on her son at basketball games, crafting creative projects, shopping (one of her favorite hobbies!), or planning her next vacation somewhere warm and sunny with a beach, Ashley embraces life with energy and excitement. She also has a fun, bold style and a love for anything pink, sparkly, or leopard print—bringing that same personality and flair into everything she does.
Ashley officially joined the Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations team in April 2025 after being a longtime follower and fan of Jo Jo’s work. She often found herself admiring the designs and thinking, “How in the world do you do that?!” Now, she gets to be part of creating that magic firsthand—and it’s been an experience she truly loves. Seeing how balloons and décor can completely transform a space and make someone’s special day even more memorable has inspired her in so many ways.
Her enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to jump in wherever needed make her such a wonderful part of our team. Ashley takes pride in helping bring celebrations to life and creating joyful, beautiful moments for our clients. We’re so grateful to have her as part of the Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations family.
Dylana

Dylana is a proud graduate of Louisville High School and The University of Akron, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance. With a strong passion for organization, numbers, and helping schools operate efficiently, she is currently working toward her long-term goal of becoming a school treasurer. Her drive, attention to detail, and natural problem-solving skills make her an incredible asset both professionally and within our team.
In August of last year, Dylana married her husband, Ben, beginning an exciting new chapter together as newlyweds. At home, they share life with their sweet and very spoiled fur baby, Kitty, who keeps them both entertained. Family has always been at the heart of everything Dylana does, and she cherishes time spent with loved ones, whether it’s gathering for celebrations, relaxing at home, or traveling to new places and making memories along the way.
Dylana has been part of Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations since the very beginning, growing alongside the business and playing a key role in helping it become what it is today. She truly loves bringing events to life and has a special talent for making sure every detail is just right. From planning and organizing behind the scenes to helping execute beautiful setups, her calm presence, reliability, and eye for perfection help ensure each client’s vision comes together seamlessly.

Robin

Family means everything to her, and that care and commitment shine through in everything she does.
She spent four years as an assistant bowling coach at LHS, where she developed a strong appreciation for teamwork, encouragement, and supporting others. Robin joined the Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations team in April 2025 and has truly enjoyed learning the art of event décor and balloon design.
What Robin loves most is being part of celebrations that matter—helping bring joy to others and making each special day even more memorable. Her positive attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine heart make her a valued member of the Designs by Jo Jo’s Creations team.
